GTA 5 vehicles for FiveM: spawn codes, speed and sounds
100 vanilla vehicles that FiveM servers use most, each with its spawn code, handling numbers ranked against its class, Lua spawn snippets, hashes, its engine sound name for add-on cars and its mod kit and light ids.
Read from the game files of GTA V Legacy build 1.0.3889.0 on November 8, 2026. Top-gear limit = fInitialDriveMaxFlatVel x 1.2 km/h (checked against GetVehicleModelEstimatedMaxSpeed on our test server). Only the full list of codes? See the FiveM spawn codes table.
We open a local GTA V Legacy install (build 1.0.3889.0) with CodeWalker and read vehicles.meta, handling.meta, carcols, carvariations, the seat layouts and the English name labels, keeping only names and numbers. No game file, model, texture, sound or picture is published. When a later update patches a vehicle, the patched value is the one shown.
Top-gear limit = fInitialDriveMaxFlatVel x 1.2, in km/h. On our test server GetVehicleModelEstimatedMaxSpeed returned exactly that for handling values of 140, 180 and 250; very high values come out lower because of drag. It is a limit from the gearing, not a measured run.
Drive force per tonne = fInitialDriveForce divided by the weight in tonnes. It compares how hard vehicles pull for their weight; it is not horsepower.
Class ranks and medians use every car or bike of that class in the game files, not only the vehicles listed here.
Engine sound: a vehicle is listed with an audio object when the game has a car audio entry whose name hash is the hash of the model name, which is what audioNameHash points at.
Measured runs (0-100 km/h, braking distance, lateral grip) will come from our bench later and will be labelled as measurements.
handling.meta fields explained
Field
What it does
fMass
Weight in kg, used for acceleration and collisions.
fInitialDriveMaxFlatVel
Gearing. Multiplied by 1.2 it gives the top-gear limit in km/h.
fInitialDriveForce
Engine pull at the wheels.
nInitialDriveGears
Number of forward gears.
fDriveBiasFront
0 is rear-wheel drive, 1 is front-wheel drive, a value between is all-wheel drive (the front share).
fDriveInertia
How quickly the engine revs up.
fInitialDragCoeff
Air drag; it caps speed when the gearing allows more.
fBrakeForce
Brake strength.
fBrakeBiasFront
Front share of the braking.
fHandBrakeForce
Handbrake strength.
fSteeringLock
Maximum steering angle.
fTractionCurveMax
Peak grip while cornering.
fTractionCurveMin
Grip left once the tyres slide.
fTractionCurveLateral
Slip angle where peak grip is reached.
fTractionBiasFront
Front share of the grip; below 0.5 the rear lets go first.
fLowSpeedTractionLossMult
Wheelspin at launch; higher means more burnout.
fSuspensionForce
Spring stiffness.
fSuspensionRaise
Ride height offset.
fAntiRollBarForce
Resistance to body roll.
fDeformationDamageMult
How much the body bends in a crash.
