Why Police Packs Are the Easiest to Break - and How Ours Are Built
Police vehicles are the most packaging-sensitive cars in FiveM. The equipment that makes them police cars - lightbars, pushbars, partitions, antennas - ships as extras and modkit parts, and the liveries live in carvariations.meta. Get any of that wrong and the car spawns as a plain civilian unit, with see-through holes where the lightbar should be, or with no spawn at all.

Police Pack Questions, Answered
Do the police cars need ELS?
No. All units are non-ELS: lights and sirens use native vehicle flags, so they work immediately on any framework with no extra resources. Non-ELS is also lighter on client performance than scripted ELS patterns.
Why do police cars from other packs spawn with missing lightbars?
The equipment is packaged as extras, and either the carvariations.meta forces required extras your garage script turns off, or the modkit ID collides with another vehicle. Both are packaging defects - our packs are validated against exactly these two failure modes before release.
Can I add my own department livery?
Yes - liveries are standard texture layers in the YTD. Edit or add your department skin, keep the file under the 16 MB limit, and the existing carvariations entries pick it up. The livery template layout follows standard FiveM conventions.
How do I restrict police vehicles to my PD job?
That is framework-side: in ESX or QBCore, list the spawn names in your job garage config (each pack documents every spawn name). The vehicles themselves are standard addon resources - install per the installation guide, then gate access in your garage script.
Are the EMS vehicles compatible with ambulance job scripts?
Yes - the EMS pack units are normal addon vehicles with their own spawn names. Point your ambulance job config at those names and they slot straight into esx_ambulancejob, qb-ambulancejob or equivalents.
