What Is FiveM for GTA V Enhanced?

GTA V Enhanced is the modernized gen9 edition of the game - the version with the upgraded RAGE engine that current-generation consoles run. In July 2026, Cfx.re opened early access for FiveM on GTA V Enhanced: a separate client running alongside FiveM Legacy, with an overhauled OneSync that supports up to 2,048 players per server.

There is one catch for every server owner and player: custom vehicles built for Legacy do not natively load on Enhanced. The gen9 engine expects assets in a new format. Every YFT model and YTD texture has to be converted before an addon car will stream on an Enhanced server, and a converted file that looks correct can still refuse to load. That is why every Enhanced vehicle we sell is loaded in-game first.

Legacy is not going anywhere

Cfx.re has confirmed Legacy support continues and server upgrades are not mandatory. Legacy and Enhanced clients run side by side (no cross-play on the same server). Our Legacy products are untouched: the Enhanced version of a vehicle is a separate listing built for the Enhanced client, not a replacement.

How Our Enhanced Versions Are Built and Verified

Converted with the official tool

Every Enhanced version is produced with Alchemist, the official Cfx.re conversion utility, in two passes (refine, then convert). It rewrites each YFT, YTD, YDR and YDD asset from Legacy (gen8) to the Enhanced (gen9) format the new client expects.

Loaded on a real Enhanced server

Format checks are not enough: a file can carry correct gen9 headers and still never stream. So each converted vehicle is put on a FiveM Enhanced test server, requested by a real Enhanced client, spawned and driven. Only vehicles that pass are listed.

Separate products, clear pricing

Enhanced vehicles are their own listings in the GTA V Enhanced Vehicles section, from $13.99, with bundles in Enhanced Vehicle Packs. Each product links to its Legacy twin, so you always pick the file that matches your server.

Repaired or replaced

FiveM for GTA V Enhanced is still early access and client builds change. If a build update breaks a vehicle you bought here, contact us and we fix the file or replace it. That is the same rule as the rest of the store.

What This Means for Your Server

If you run a Legacy server: nothing changes, buy the Legacy listing as before. If you are spinning up an Enhanced server for the new client: the Enhanced section is for you - drop the ZIP into resources, ensure, done. Installation is identical to Legacy (the install guide applies as-is), and converting your own mods stays possible with the Converter: build the Legacy resource here, then run it through Alchemist - and load it in-game before you trust it.

Do Legacy FiveM cars work on GTA V Enhanced?

Not natively. Custom assets built for GTA V Legacy (gen8) are not compatible with the Enhanced (gen9) client - models and textures must be converted to the new format first. Our Enhanced section only lists vehicles that were converted and then confirmed to load in-game.

Is the Enhanced version a separate purchase?

Yes. Enhanced vehicles are separate products (from $13.99) because each one is rebuilt for the gen9 client and verified in-game individually. The Legacy listing is unchanged and priced as before. Each Enhanced product links to its Legacy twin and the other way around.

Will my Legacy server break if I install the Enhanced version?

Use the file that matches your server: Legacy ZIP for a Legacy server, Enhanced ZIP for an Enhanced server. Spawn names and metas are identical between the two, so switching later means swapping the resource folder, nothing else.

How are the Enhanced versions tested?

Converted with Alchemist, the official Cfx.re tool, then loaded on a FiveM Enhanced test server with a real Enhanced client: the model is requested, spawned and driven. A vehicle that times out or crashes the client is not listed. The verification date is printed on each product page.

Why is only part of the catalog available for Enhanced?

Because we list Enhanced vehicles as they pass the in-game test, not before. Roughly a quarter of converted files still refuse to stream on the current Enhanced client, and there is no reliable way to predict which without loading them. The section grows as more vehicles are verified.
