An MLO (Multi-Level Object interior) is a fully enterable building: real walls with collision, interior rooms, portals that control what the engine renders, and its own lighting. A plain YMAP just places props in the world; an MLO extends the map itself. For roleplay that matters - players walk in, doors work, and the interior exists for everyone on the server, not just whoever loaded a client mod.

What does MLO mean in FiveM?
MLO stands for Multi-Level Object - a custom interior that extends the GTA V map with enterable, collision-complete rooms, portals and lighting. Unlike a YMAP prop placement, an MLO is part of the map for every player on the server.
How do I install an MLO on my FiveM server?
Extract the resource folder into your server's resources/ directory, add ensure mlo-name to server.cfg and restart. The interior streams to players automatically - no client mods needed.
Do MLOs lower server or client FPS?
A well-built MLO has near-zero cost when you are not inside it, because occlusion and portals stop the engine from rendering what you cannot see. Badly built MLOs skip that work and render interiors through walls, which is why one bad building can drop FPS for a whole street. Occlusion setup is part of our pre-ship checks.
Will these MLOs conflict with my existing maps?
Only if two resources edit the same building. Each product page lists the real-world location of the interior, so you can check against maps you already run before buying.
Do MLOs work with ESX and QBCore?
Yes. An MLO is framework-agnostic map content. Job scripts, housing scripts and heist scripts simply reference the interior's coordinates - which every product page provides.
